Re: The Scuderi Group recent announcement of signing their first of many Power Purchasing Agreements
Power Purchasing Agreements are usually long term contracts in the 10 to 20 years range to provided electricity to the end user. These Power Purchasing Agreements are financed through Special Purpose Entities, the generators are then prepaid at a very nice premium and the SG now has revenue. Also, once the generator or generators are installed the SG will now have a long term revenue stream from the end user by the purchasing the electricity for their project.
1) As an investor to you feel that the Scuderi Group has started to right the ship by switching to the Power Generation industry?
2) It is my belief the SG can sell these Power Purchasing Agreements like hot cakes and the SG has stated they will hire outside experienced sub-contractors to sell these PPA's on a commission only basis. As an investor do you believe once the SG completes this PPA cycles a few times, they will be able to file their S-1 and have a successful IPO?

Hi Paul,
I love your enthusiasm and hope you are correct - I have noted that in several other blogs between you and me.
Lonny, my 2 biggest concerns with SG are, IMO: 1) I have difficulty seeing the current management team taking this to the next level in almost any capacity because, 2) I do not believe they have the finances to get it done. I believe they are closer to $0 than any other figure. They had $80+M and over 10 years to get something, anything done and they haven't been able to produce. Current management either cannot see or are too set in their ways to see that changes are needed.
And Lonny I was disappointed more in the $250K the Scuderi's spent with a financial advisor. The $3.2M was a mistake, no doubt, the $250K scares me because that, IMO, means they had bigger plans.
I also add that the above comments are my opinion only. Maybe that should be a basic foundation for all future blogs on this site - that the comments from each blogger express their opinions only and do not reflect the opinion of the Scuderi Group or the Scuderi family. I'm not looking for trouble - I'm looking for answers.

Paul, Thank you for providing more information about the PPAs. It always takes me a little longer to get through the acronyms and business talk. What scale of power generation is SG talking about here? Any info on the quantities and capacities of Scuderi engines being requested? One case study I found suggests that the power generated could be large-scale: "In 2006, the Rappahannock Regional Solid Waste Management Board (R-Board) in Virginia partnered with Ameresco to develop a 20-year power purchase agreement that converts landfill gas to energy. Two generators built at the landfill capture methane gas and convert it to electricity, generating 2.14 megawatts of energy, enough to power 1,500 homes. Over the term of the contract, the R-Board will receive an estimated $1.6 million for selling power from the facility to Constellation New Energy. - See more at: www.ameresco.com/solution/power-purchase-agreements#sthash.Sw0R86D5.dpuf " Is this similar to the SG plans?

Larry, The inception Scuderi Generator will probably have a one mega watt output, however depending on the size of future projects they might have to fabricate a two mega watt system. During low peak times the Scuderi generator will capture energy, store it in the form of compressed air, and then provide this electricity during high peak times to the end user.

Pendants, If you read the information sheet on the SG settlement with the S.E.C., it was in the best interests of all investors including yourself for the Scuderi family to set up trusts and protect their large holdings. I can't post this information on the blog however if you would like I can fax the explanation or e-mail it to you. Paul

Has anyone heard any revenue numbers on this power gen deal or the consortiums that were supposed to be up and running in September?

Hi,
could not attend meeting y/d. Any word on 2G, BMW, Wärtsilä or the 3% interest on equity Ruth mentioned in newsletter? How many generators have been sold? Timeframe to get to 100MW?
Thx for answers.
Jim

Will be at least one year before 100 MW can be delivered.
